nATURAL reSOURCE & tOURISM pROFESSOR
Dr. Berkita S. Bradford is an Associate Professor and Hospitality Management Department Chair at Virginia State University.
Her research and teaching interests are Heritage tourism, diversity, and inclusion, and agritourism.
She has over 25 years of experience in higher education.
Dr. Bradford have developed and facilitated several faculty-led programs in the United States and to countries such as Belize, Nassau, Bahamas, and Cuba.
This summer, she is the instructor for the pilot launch of the Natural Resource Tourism summer study abroad program in Belize. Learn more.
SUSTAINABLE eCONOMIC & cOMMUNITY dEVELOPMENT pROGRAM PROFESSOR
In addition to teaching in the Sustainable Economic and Community Development study abroad program, Dr. Metzgen is an economist, educator, and entrepreneur with academic degrees in economics, finance, and public policy and has a proven track record in advancing policy initiatives and research agendas.
Dr. Metzen have lived in over 100 countries and worked in both develop and developing economies. She taught both at the undergraduate and graduate levels and engages in consultancy projects that supports positive economic prosperity for the people of Belize.
She is certified in meditation and face yoga and is a human development coach.

Dr. Lydia Loskot has over 25 years in higher education and served Assistant Professor at Galen University for more than 14 years.
She was recognized by The Ministry of Education and Youth in 2010-2011 for Outstanding Teacher of the Year at the Tertiary level in the country of Belize.
Areas of interest: Intercultural Communication, High/Low Context Rhetorical Values and Cultural Difference, English as a Second Language Pedagogy, Women’s Studies, Workplace Communication.
Dr Lydia Loskot has a Ph.D., Rhetoric and Professional Communication from New Mexico State University.
